JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will work flexible hours and travel at our other locations which includes SF Mission Bay, SF China Basin. Work hours and days are variable 7 days a weeks, 8 hour days at Bayfront and 10 to 12 hour days at including evening weekends and graveyard shift. Includes shift and weekend differentials.
Under the direction of technical supervisor, the ARRT certified, California-licensed technologist performs radiologic procedures in assigned areas at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Tech will perform safe imaging procedures on all emergent, inpatient and outpatient age-specific populations. Diagnostic procedures include, but are not limited to, Basic radiographic exams using fixed and portable imaging equipment in various settings such as Outpatient/Inpatient, OR/Hybrid, ER, fluoro and Endoscopy.
Maintain annual competency in Advanced procedures such as arthograms, myelograms, kyphoplasty, XLIFS, ESWL, HSG’s, PNL’s, Scoliosis imaging and O-Ring and OR Vascular procedures. In addition, must maintain competency in all Specialized procedures such as: operation of vascular imaging equipment, ERCP, and Lead Tech role and Mentoring responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have flexibility in scheduling, ability to rotate shifts and coverage for weekends and holiday
- Requires ARRT Licensure or ARRT-approved equivalent.
- Requires CRT Licensure
- Minimum of 7 years of work experience in an acute care and/or university hospital setting.
- CRT Fluoroscopy licensure – can be obtained within 6 month probationary period
- Requires BLS (CPR) Certification

- Graduate of a formal radiology technology-training program in an AMA approved school.
New hires must not perform any radiology procedures until they receive their license (CRT) from the State of California. New hires may begin their orientation to the department, observe procedures and assist during this time period, which is not to exceed 6 months. New hires must receive their California fluoroscopy license within the first 6 months of employment or probationary period. Depending on the department needs, this position may require you to take weekday, weekend or holiday call.
